SHOHEI for Carhartt Fall Winter 2012 | Illustration

Carhartt have stepped up their game so much in the last few years with collabs and campaigns. This season the amazing Shohei is back with more illustrations dotted around the stores! The sheer greatness of his attention to detail is undeniable.

For those who don’t know of Shohei, he is a Tokyo based illustrator who’s weapon of choice is the ballpoint pen and marker pen! His influences for his ironic, sometimes dark imagery comes from violence, punk, metal, hardcore, street culture, with a bit of Manga attitude. Shohei has already succeeded to live up to his fathers great expectations, Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator and director of Akira.

The collab stems from an interview with Marco Klefisch and Shohei for the SS12 Carhartt WIP brand book (which is still available at Carhartt Manchester).

You can go check out his latest illustrations at Carhartt Manchester and get a proper detailed eyeball full of these FW12 pieces!
