It’s official! After all the rumours and more leaks than the Pentagon Papers, the iPhone 5 is finally here. Coming in the standard Black and White with new dual colour back plate yet with changes making it bigger, yet smaller, faster and clearer, the list goes on.
Overall the phone has a near exact image to the Iphone 4/4s yet with a taller and thinner body (measuring just 7.6mm) and made completely out of glass and aluminium making it 18% lighter.
Now boasting a 4inch display with a resolution of 1136×640, a 16:9 aspect ratio and 44% more colour saturation. The iPhone 5 will house an extra row of icons and give you much more space for apps.
4G connectivity gives you much faster connection speeds and 2.4gHz and 5gHz 802.11n Wifi connection. New A6 dual-core processor which is 22% smaller makes this models CPU twice as fast and graphics twice as fast as the iPhone 4.
The new camera, although similar is 25% smaller with a f/2.4 aperture five-lens element 8 megapixel CMOS backside illuminated sensor, dynamic low light mode, sapphire crystal to protect the lens, smart filter, hybrid IR filter, spatial noise reduction, smart filter, the iSight is able to capture Panorama size images and is up to 40% faster at capturing images! Recording in 1080p the front camera now has image capture ability whilst recording whilst the front facing camera can now also record in 720p HD video.
3 microphones give a much clearer call with better noise reduction, one at the front, bottom and back and earphones have been redesigned with a much sleeker look (and hopefully these ones stay in your ears whilst you walk)!
The ‘lightning’ charger connector is completely different to the original 30 pin connector, this new 9 pin connector is 80% smaller, capable of handling eight-signal and reversible, but don’t worry an adaptor is available if you need to use your old accessories!
