We both travelled down to the big LDN this weekend to witness the hype for what was set to be ‘thee’ event so far on the UK sneaker heads calendar.
If having to get up before 9am on a church day wasn’t bad enough after partying in Cambridge the night before, the immense queue that we drove past was a sight for tired, hungover eyes. We quickly got our car parked (sort of, that is another story altogether), headed up to Village Underground to find that over a hundred more sneaker heads had descended on the queue since driving past moments before.
Thankfully we didn’t have to wait in the queue and once we were in, our eyes opened up to stall after stall of some of the biggest sneaker collectors in the UK. With the likes of SmallFeetBigKicks, The Drop Date and Elsey of SneakerPedia on the bill we got to see some of our favourite deadstock. We witnessed brands such as New Balance, Nike, Saucony and Reebok with silhouettes like the Shima Shima (Lei-Mai’s favourite of the day) amongst other Air Max 1 deadstock, Jordan’s, Huarache’s, Yeezy’s and a lot of heat from more recent drops!
We’d like to thank Crepe City for a good day filled with good vibes, beats, friends, food, booze and of course plenty of amazing sneakers! We suggest you keep an eye on their website for future event info!
