Sneaker Break Down

This month has seen the release of some beasty kicks and exciting news of future releases as well. As we’ve been busy getting ready for 6acre, Sneaks and Peaks and Crepe City, I thought I’d throw you a quick break down of them in one post!

First up I’ve picked the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III “Flamingo”, a silhouette that’s been in the making for years, featuring an ash grey upper that resembles the flamingo before it turns pink, with the salmon coloured stripes and a contrasting white midsole. For those of you who don’t know, flamingo’s consume their choice of food, shrimp, which results in the changing of the feathers from grey to pink. The collab will release August 2nd.

Next up, the formerly dubbed Nike Roshe Run Hyperfuse, officially known now as the Roshe Run Vent, another minimalist lightweight release from Nike in some chilled colour ways. Available now.

I have to admit, my next choice has to be my absolute favourite. Partly because they’re just amazing but mostly because I got them for my birthday off my co-blogger (instagram: @bedfordcool). Palace Skateboards x Reebok Classics of which I got the black workout low but also released where the white workout low and classic leather silhouettes. Available now.

Not my usual choice of kicks but I know a few of my friends will be hyping over these, the Nike Kobe 8 Lifestyle “Snake”. As I say not my usual type of sneak and I can’t normally stand animal prints, something tacky about that ish, but sometimes I make an exception and these are definitely one of them. Available now.

Seen anything you like yet? Well there’s more! If you’re a fan of white on white then these are for you. Fair enough to say not everyones cup of tea (or in this case tin of white emulsion) we have the atmos x Reebok Pump Fury. A strange silhouette, a bit like marmite, you either love it or you hate it, but if you love it then white on white is a must! Featuring snakeskin accents, the atmos x reebok pump fury are available now.

We’d all be pissed if somebody stepped on our blue suede shoes and these are no exception, coming soon are the blue, green and purple Nike air max 1 for the boys and for us girls, joining the blue and grey that are already released is the fusion red wmns air max 1, featuring a mix of mesh and suede and sticking with the speckled sole which we all loooooove! Keep your eyes pealed for these releases.

Next up a stunning release, due to drop this saturday (August 3rd) we see yet another belter of a collab from Hanon, the Reebok classic leather ‘Aberdeen Leopards’. Featuring a suede upper and a colourway that plays off the Aberdeen, Scotland coat of arms and a touch of a leopard rosette detail on the inner, The first 30 pairs sold will be accompanied with a special edition tshirt and all pairs come with a Hanon x RBK Classic dustbag so don’t sit back on the release this Saturday!!

I recently got sent a pair of Kenzo x Vans, which have re ignited my love for vans. The vans California pack includes an authentic and an old skool silhouette, the old skool being my favourite out of the two, both featuring a floral camo print with tan suede panels, these aren’t set to release until next summer (2014).

For those of you on that Huarache hype, we’ve seen a lot of colourways hit stores but these are definitely a favourite of mine. Nike Air Huarache LE ‘Total Orange’ available now.

Last up before you all fall asleep…The Reebok LX8500 “Vintage” Pack, a collection made up of grey and navy colour ways celebrating Reeboks running heritage and for most of us a nostalgic lurker silhouette! Available now.

Stay tuned for more sneaker release updates!
